Steps to Get Your BIG Money!

Step 1

Gather Information

 

 

  • Must be 18 years old

  • Must have your high school diploma or GED diploma (Transcripts are not acceptable)

  • Must complete and pass the Financial Literacy Course, manageyourebcimoney.org.  You will receive further information from Qualla Financial Freedom.

 

  • YOU MUST WAIT UNTIL ALL THREE REQUIREMENTS HAVE BEEN MET OR YOU ARE 21 YEARS OLD TO APPLY FOR MINOR TRUST FUND.

Step 2

Application Process

 

 

Do not submit your application to the Enrollment Office until you have met the 3 requirements listed above.

 

  • Submit completed, notarized application to withdraw from the Minors Trust Fund. 

  • Submit original or notarized copy of high school diploma/GED diploma

  • Submit Certificate of Completion of the Manage Your EBCI Money

Step 3

Wait for Your Check!

If you meet the requirements listed above and we receive your application between:                   Check will be mailed approximately

  • Jan 1  -  Mar 31                                                                       June 1

  • Apr 1 -  June 30                                                                      September 1

  • July 1-  Sept 30                                                                       December 1

  • Oct 1 – Dec 31                                                                          March 1

  • Notaries are available in the Enrollment Office and/or your local financial Bank

  • Direct Deposit is not available for the Minors Trust Fund Checks.

  • Please check your address at the Enrollment Office.  The address on your application to withdraw from the Trust must match the address on file in the Enrollment Office

  • Once you reach the age of 18, you must call with questions concerning your trust account.

  • Early graduates must have a diploma

  • You will automatically begin receiving the per capita distributions the June or December following your 18th birthday and continue thereafter biannually
